The First Cut is the Deepest
With the help of my super-strong brother in law Tim "Legs of Steel" Morgan, I finally brought my Nichols Horizontal Milling machine home. If you don't know about it, I've been working on this project for a long, long time. I took a 1980's Nichols Mill, I bought back in May, and completely gutted the electronics, I mean everything. If it was wire, or created a magnetic field I yanked it. I automated the Y-axis with a Custom Servo Assembly, and built a custom 1-off Main Tube Mitering System. I finally got a chance to use it this weekend, and I must say, I am in love. I got a bunch done on Kyle's bike and I am hoping to finish his build by the end of this week. Here are some pictures moving the mill, cutting tubes and working on Kyle's frame.
