“Show those bottle bosses who the boss is.”

The Bottle Boss Boss is for drilling 1/4” bottle boss holes exactly 63.5mm apart on the centerline of bicycle tubes prior to welding or brazing the frame together. It’s a simple compact tool that can be used with a hand drill or loaded up in a machine or drill press to get the job done.

**NOTE: There’s a lot of different finishing options that can be applied to this tool. Please read the information below and if you have questions still, feel free to reach out via the CONNECT page.

Key Features

  • Built in offset scale from bottom bracket center to the first bottle boss (Boss A dimension on the respective tube in BikeCAD see image below). The tool supplied as standard with the BB dummy measure arm covers this range from 50mm-245mm. We can make custom lengths and you can also use this tool without the arm for tricky or unique boss locations.
  • Flippable BB dummy that simulates 1.5” (BSA) or 2.0” (T47) the most common OD’s for Bottom Brackets.
  • FARR Signature Brass “Get a Grip” plates to protect the rest of the tool when clamping in a vise.
  • Replaceable precision aligned 1/4” Drill Bushings (although you can likely drill 1000’s of bosses before they need to be swapped)
  • Tool-Free Tube Clamping Mechanism For quick loading and swapping of tubes.
  • Laser/Machine Engraved notes for hex size and reminders/encouragement when using the tool.

Installation Information

  • Cosmetic Blem units usually have minor ‘hazing’ on one of the laser etches or dents or dings from shipping to/from the anodizer.   You can always reach out for images of the exact issue prior to purchase.
  • Custom finishes are one-of-a-kind and take about 4-5 weeks to turn around from the time of the order.  The options are basically unlimited and if you have an idea we can make it happen.  We also have a ton of “stock” custom finishes that we do on repeat.  If you are interested in one of those or would like to see pictures, please reach out.
